Homeroom Expectations
A little information to let you know what I expect from each of you during homeroom time every day! I want homeroom to be a fun, interactive and learning experience. With your cooperation and participation we can make it a great 20 minutes each day.
1. Entering the Room - You are expected to come in, sit in your assigned seat and be quiet during announcements.
Consequences:
Not in your assigned seat before the bell starts ringing = Tardy
Talking during announcements = Demerit *there will be NO warnings
2. Activities - There will be a planned activity each day. You are expected to participate in the activity in an appropriate manner. Appropriate participation means you follow instructions, are respectful of other students, follow the rules of the game/activity, etc. and don't complain. Also, please note that there will not always be a prize for participation . . . participation is just an expectation as a member of this homeroom.
Consequences:
Not participating in an appropriate manner = Demerit
3. Leaving Homeroom - You will not be allowed to leave homeroom. The only exceptions are if you have a pass from the teacher you are going to or if you are called out over the announcements. You may not come check in, go get a pass and then go back, you must have it before you come here. If you are late to homeroom because you were getting a pass it will still count as a tardy.
4. Demerits - Behavior and tardy demerits will be given and recorded. Behavior and tardy demerits are tracked separately. Behavior demerits start over at the beginning of each week. Tardy demerits count for an entire 9-weeks. As a reminder:
